In 1947, the Montreal Committee decided to publish a newsletter. The association did not yet have legal status but functioned as a federation of committees. At the time, there were several committees, including those in Montreal, Quebec, Trois-Rivières, Ottawa and New England. Forty-four issues of this first series of liaison bulletins were published between March 1947 and December 1963.
